PURPOSE:To improve sharply the positional resolution of a camera by inserting a fiber-shaped plastic scintillator into each of inner pieces of a collimator element wherein the inner pieces in large numbers are formed in lattice-shaped arrangement. CONSTITUTION:A number of inner pieces 2 are formed in lattice-shaped arrangement in a collimator element 1, and a detector 3 has a structure part wherein a plastic scintillator 101 is inserted into each of the inner pieces 2 of the collimator element 1. When the scintillator 101 and a position-sensitive photo-multiplier tube(PMT) 4 are connected together optically, a positional resolution can be ensured only by the hole diameter of each inner piece 2 of the collimator element 1, since the PMT 4 is excellent in the positional resolution. Accordingly, it can be detected with high resolution directly by the PMT 4 in which scintillator 101 an event of generated scintillation takes place. Based on a detection signal of the PMT 4, the position of the generated scintillation is computed 5 exactly, digital correction 6 and discrimination 7 of an energy value are conducted and data are stored.
