<p>PURPOSE:To prevent bias feed and curls according to the kind of recording paper so as to obtain high-quality images by forming such structure that deflection quantities formed by blocking the movement of recording paper tips by a timing roller differ from each other in two carrier modes. CONSTITUTION:The respective tips of ordinary paper Pa conveyed by a carrier roller 23 from a paper supply cassette and special paper Pb such as a postcard conveyed by the carrier roller 23 from a hand-operated tray are detected by a paper sensor SW. The recording paper conveyance continued time of the ordinary paper Pa by the carrier roller 23 after the detection is made different from that of the special paper Pb. The deflection quantity formed by blocking the recording paper tip by a timing roller 24 is thereby changed, and the time for the ordinary paper Pa is set longer than that for the special paper Pb. As a result, both recording papers Pa, Pb are prevented from bias feed and also the generation of wrinkles and curls after image formation so as to obtain high quality images.</p> |
