HUMAN C-TYPE NATRIURETIC PEPTIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a novel peptide useful as an agent for the detection and determination of rat C-type natriuretic peptide(CNP) and various reagents, etc., from a human genom DNA library by using the DNA sequence of the CNP as a probe. CONSTITUTION:A human genom DNA library prepared by using a bacteriophage vector is screened by plaque hybridization using a DNA fragment of a rat C-type natriuretic peptide (rat CNP) as a probe to select a positive clone and separating the DNA from the clone by conventional process. The DNA is treated with restriction enzyme and linked with a manifestation vector to prepare a recombinant DNA containing a DNA coding a human C-type natriuretic peptide (human CNP). The recombinant DNA is introduced into E.coli and the obtained transformant is cultured to obtain a human CNP having the amino acid sequence from the 74th aspartic acid to the 126th cysteine of the sequence of formula.
