LIGHT RECEIVING MODULE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE:To offer a light receiving module which can easily position and fix optical fiber at a desired position in a module and which is easily produced. CONSTITUTION:A package 10 on which a photodetector 14 is mounted, a receptacle 11 obtained by forming a transmitting hole 17 at a position from which the photodetector 14 at a part blocking the aperture part of the package 10 can be seen. A fiber holder 12 consisting by additionally providing a flange part 18 whose diameter is larger than the hole 17 on the outer circumference of a fiber end fixing part 21 having a fiber inserting hole 20 which is aligned with the photodetector 14 and in which of the coated optical fiber 19 is inserted and fixed and a cap 13 which covers the holder 12 are provided.
