PURPOSE:To obtain an input device for an image forming device which can be easily and surely operated even by the children who are not so clever with their fingers as the grown-ups by securing a constitution where an image can be displayed on a display device in response to the locus of a press part inputted to a tablet without pushing continuously an execution button. CONSTITUTION:An input device 1 of an image forming device can display the images on a monitor based on the signals inputted to a tablet 10 as long as the execution buttons 8A and 8B are pushed. Both buttons 8A and 8B can be continuously pushed and also the press of these buttons can be canceled by a press mechanism 60. Furthermore a programmed microcomputer can be set into the device 1 so that the buttons 8A and 8B are locked even when they are released like a case where both buttons are continuously pushed under the prescribed conditions.
