<p>PURPOSE:To automate the whole operation of a paper roll carrier system by inserting an air shaft into a paper roll received from an automatic warehouse by an unmanned carrier to convey the paper roll to a rotary press, and receiving a paper roll and an air shaft spent at the rotary press by the unmanned carrier so as to pull out the air shaft and to convey the paper roll to a remaining core recovery yard. CONSTITUTION:A paper roll taken out of an automatic warehouse 8 is placed on the bearer of an unmanned carrier 11 standing by on the delivery side, and then an air shaft is inserted therein by an air shaft inserting machine 17. The paper roll is carried to the paper supply device 9 of an assigned rotary press and mounted together with the air shaft among the arm supporting shafts of three arms in a paper roll mounting position. A spent remaining core is removed from the paper supply device 9 and carried to a remaining core recovery yard 30 by the carrier 11, and the air shaft is pulled out by an air shaft pull-out machine 19 and carried to the air shaft inserting machine 17. With this constitution, the conveyance and mounting of a new paper roll and the removal of an old paper roll can be performed automatically, and the insertion and pull-out of the air shaft can be performed automatically within a system.</p> |
