PURPOSE:To improve transferring, separating and feeding performance for a recording paper, consequently to obtain a stable excellent image regardless of paper quality and environmental conditions, to drastically reduce the number of times of paper jamming in transfer and separation parts, to improve cleaning performance and to reduce wasteful consumed toner quantity. CONSTITUTION:By detecting the characteristic and the state of the recording paper and temporal information and inferring the transferring, separating and feeding states for the recording paper as the synthesis of the membership function of the information based on the detected information (and input information inputted by an operator), the transferring, separating and feeding conditions and the auxiliary conditions to the former conditions are decided, and control is executed based on the decision. For example, a transfer power source 703 is controlled based on the result of fuzzy arithmetic operation by a microprocessor 7O2. |
