Receptacle glass, e.g. a drinking glass, consisting of a hollow body (1) at the top, a constriction in the middle part, termed the leg (2), and a bottom part which may broaden out, termed the foot (3). Its shape results from the treatment of the total volume of a group of glasses (9) in such a way as to enable them all to be held by hand at a reduced point and also enable several glasses to be packed or grouped within a small space. The resulting small coherent volume is essentially due to the fact that the leg (2) is eccentric to enable the legs of all the glasses to contact each other, leaving a large space around themselves. <IMAGE>
