PURPOSE:To obtain an electrically conductive crosslinked polyethylene foam having excellent resistance to shrinkage by heat, by crosslinking and expanding a compsn. contg. low-density polyethylene, high-density polyethylene and electrically conductive carbon black. CONSTITUTION:A foam is obtd. by crosslinking and expanding a compsn. contg. 30-70pts.wt. low-density polyethylene having a m.p. of 106-112 deg.C, a density of 0.918-0.925g/cm<3> and a melt flow rate of 0.1-0.5g/10min, 70-30pts.wt. high- density polyethylene having a m.p. of 131-137 deg.C, a density of 0.945-0.964g/cm<3> and a melt flow rate of 4.5-9.0g/10min and 7-15pts.wt. electrically conductive carbon black. A preferred example of electrically conductive carbon black is furnace black having a surface area (according to the nitrogen absorption method) of 900m<2>/g or above. |
