<p>PURPOSE:To reclaim a good foam from a used polystyrene resin foam or cutting wastage, rejects, etc., produced during molding. CONSTITUTION:A ground polystyrene resin foam is melted by heating in an extruder while vacuum aspiration is performed through vents, and the melt is extruded into an extrudate, which is cut into spherical particles by a hot cut system. These particles are impregnated with butane in an aqueous suspension to obtain foamable polystyrene resin particles.</p> |
