PURPOSE:To obtain an automatic teller machine which can be operated even by sightless persons or physically handicapped persons by providing a braille display window and voice input device in the above machine. CONSTITUTION:This automatic teller machine(ATM) is equipped with a switch 2 for physically handicapped persons, braille display window 5, and voice input device 6 in addition to a display screen and operation buttons which are provided to ordinary ATMs. When a physically handicapped person utilizes the machine, the person presses the switch 2. Then the depression is accepted by a switch input means 3 for physically handicapped persons and the operating procedure of the ATM 1 is guided in voices at every step. At the same time, the procedure is displayed on the window 5 through a braille controller 4. Therefore, the physically handicapped user can input necessary data in voices or by pressing operation buttons. When the user inputs the necessary data in voices, the input is interpreted by the device 6 and inputted to a cash accepting/ dispensing device similarly to in the case where the data are inputted from a button input device 7. Then the device 8 performs a cash accepting/dispensing process. |
