PURPOSE: To obtain a simply assemblable mold type vagina electrode for inhibiting urine incontinence which enables electrically effective stimulation of a neural muscle to control the urine incontinence of women. CONSTITUTION: A vagina electrode 14 for inhibiting urine incontinence of women is made up of bands on which conductive polymers 22, 24, 26 and 28 and non- conductive polymers 30, 32 add 34 molded to form a tubular body 16 are arranged alternately. Electric receptacles 46a-46h formed on the inner circumferential surfaces of the conductive polymer bands 22, 24, 26 and 28 in a mold process receive metal contacts mounted on electric leads 26 to form durable mechanical and electric connections with no slackening between the conductive polymer bands and the leads. The leads 36 are connected to a controller 40 to give or take a current between the controller and the metal contacts. The current is distributed to the conductive polymer bands from the metal contacts thereby achieving a contraction of muscle of a vagina useful for the inhibiting of the urine incontinence. |
