Igniter for multi-burner heating plant - has ignition system interlocked with fuel valve and motor driven distributor

The electric igniter for a multi-burner heating plant uses high-tension current for a spark discharge from an electrode at the burner. Each burner electrode is supplied from a contact (10) in a car-type HT distributor and coil assembly, an electric motor (21) rotating the distributor arm (12). The coil (14) is earthed (15) and receives an input (16) from a transistorised igniter-unit (17). This in turn is fed from a switched DC source which also powers the motor. An engageable solenoid fuel valve (6) is operated by a pusher-switch (23) coupled to the igniter-circuit switch (18).
