The esculator comprises angled stringers and individually fixed steps. The latter are fixed to a single angled stringer (3), and each comprise bracket part (2) bolted to the stringer and a flap tried. The tread is hinged to the bracket so that all flap treads work individually. Pref. the steps are secured by gas springs so balanced as to hold any one step in selected position. ADVANTAGE - Modular system with improved safety comfort and versatility.
