The car door lock (8) cylinder has two cams (9, 10) which activate, when the cylinder is rotated, microswitches (11, 12) which activate a motor which engages or disengages the car door catch. A push fit ring (6) is located over the cylinder, and a cam (13) on this ring similarily activates a microswitch (14). This ring is connected to the car door lock button. USE/ADVANTAGE - Low cost connetion of car door button to central locking.
