PURPOSE: To provide a means which optically couples one photoconductor along another photoconductor, without parting or altering the photoconductor for a multi-station type local network. CONSTITUTION: This is an adhesion optical coupler for a cable, containing at least one photoconductor 1 which consists of a step-type glass fiber protected by a coating of plastic; and 1st means 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12 partially curve respective auxiliary photoconductors which are previously exposed at specific positions into specific curved states at the level of adhesion point, 2nd means 21 and 22 make one-end sides of the respective auxiliary photoconductors 30 abut mechanically against the respective photoconductors of a cable at small incident angles in the zone, wherein the photoconductors of the base are curved as specified as mentioned above to match the refractive indexes, and a 3rd means, e.g. gel is interposed between the respective end parts of the auxiliary photoconductors and the photoconductors of the cable that the end parts abut against. |
