THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER STABLE AT HIGH TEMPERATURE

A high-temperature-resistant thermoplastic elastomer for the production of lip seal rings comprises a block polymer of optionally compatibilised hydrogenated nitrile rubber or fluororubber with a compatibilised polyolefin or polyamide. The elastomeric seal part has resistance values, ageing values and strength values as for lip seal rings comprising pure fluororubbers or hydrogenated nitrile rubbers, and at the same time withstand extended periods at temperatures between 130 and 180 DEG C. The elastomer can be processed by injection moulding, and the bond to the reinforcing part or housing part comprising thermoplastics is functionally perfect.
