Using the pulling device, rolling-contact bearings can be removed from a shaft. The device comprises an axially slotted pulling sleeve (3), the spring tongues (9) of which grasp the rolling-contact bearing radially on its rollers and are then displaced radially by means of a rotatable clamping sleeve (13) which has a taper (16) which interacts with a tapered circumferential surface (11) of the pulling sleeve (3). In order to keep down the friction at the tapered contact surfaces (11 and 17) and thus facilitate the handling of the device, the clamping sleeve is divided into a pressure sleeve (14) having the taper (16) and an actuating sleeve (15), the rotary motion of which is taken up in a bearing (22, 23), only the axial displacement of the actuating sleeve (15) being transmitted, via drivers (20; 27; 28) to the pressure sleeve (14). ……
