The wall cladding element mfr. is effected using a plastics or sheet metal mould (2) overlying one wall surface (1) of the cladding element, with a number of peripheral pins (3) ensuring accurate alignment. The mould has spaced openings (5) in a regular pattern which are filled with an adhesive mortor. A further tapered mould is fitted over each opening and filled with concrete to provide a projecting strut at each point, with removed removal of the 2 moulds after hardening, for re-use.The cladding element is obtained by fitting 2 facing wall surfaces together via the corresponding projecting struts.
