Fault current protection device for multi-pole network - uses saturation coils in neutral wire between branch point and possible short circuit point

The fault current protection device, providing protection against physical contact, comprises a fault current protection switch coupled to the network on the input side and to one or more electrical loads on the output side. The neutral wire of the electrical network is divided infront of the protection switch into a protection wise and a neutral wire (5). One or more series saturation coils (3) are provided in the neutral wire (5) for the protection switch and/or the neutral wire (5) outside the switch, between the branch point (6) of the neutral wire (5) and the first possible short-circuit point (2) between the protection wire and the neutral wire (5). ADVANTAGE - Ensures full protection of operator against direct physical contact.
