A chain with clips, infinitely adjustable and providing simultaneous biaxial operation for film sheeting, having grips to engage the film at both edges, has clip members to roll over the surfaces of a guide track by offset rollers; each member has tilting chain links which connect adjacent members at adjustable intervals. Each link takes an eccentric bush holding an adjustable arm in one bore, and each bush can turn about a pin fixed to a clip member, whilst the other bore in the link is engaged by a pin fixed to the adjacent clip member. The assembly shown has a clip (1) to grip the edge of a film (6). It (1) has a vertical member (4) to engage a channel section track (2) at top and bottom; it has a part (5) to hold the edge of the film. The member (4) holds pairs of rollers (7). Other features indicated include bearing pins (11) and pins (12) for the links, sideplate (16) and a link (17). The structure of a link (17) has an eccentric bush (22) and a roller (24) mounted on an adjustable arm (25). ADVANTAGE - The design allows the film handled to shrink after it has been stretched longitudinally, i.e. to shrink by more than 2%.
