The spindle (3) is passed through a bore which is worked directly into the slide carriage (6) parallel to the longitudinal axis (X) of the guide rail (8), forming an annular space between the outer face and the wall of the bore. The helical turn of the spindle forms the thread (36). Ribbed rollers (34) are spread out round the circumference in the annular space so as to engage with their rib sections into the gaps in the thread pitch and the gaps in the profiled bore. USE/ADVANTAGE - Fewer number of individual parts and thus reduced manufacturing costs.
