An assembly consisting of a tooth (6) and a multipart tooth holder having a rear portion (1) rigidly fixed to a milling head and at least one universal main portion (2) for supporting the tooth (6), wherein the elements connecting the tooth (6) and the various portions of the tooth holder (1, 2) include, firstly, a truncated pyramid-shaped projection (3), preferebly with a square or rectangular cross-section, provided on the universal main portion (2) and designed to fit into a corresponding cavity (3') in the rear portion (1) of the tooth holder; and secondly, at least one rib (20) and/or groove provided on said universal main portion (2) of the tooth holder for engagement with at least one corresponding groove (21) and/or rib on the tooth (6). |
