The packaging comprises a number of bolsters (2b..4b; 8b, 9b) of foamed plastics, protecting the appliance edges, enclosed by corresponding outer shells (1a..4a; 8a, 9a) which are joined together via a number of elastic bands (5, 6, 7). Pref. the shells (1a..4a; 8a, 9a) are coupled together via the bands (5, 6, 7) in an open chain, the bolsters (2b..4b; 8b, 9b) being fitted in the shells (1a..4a; 8a, 9a) so that they are interchangeable.
