The planetary wheels (22) and/or the central wheels (24, 26) are pref. supported on a housing (36) which can be in one piece and has openings for fitting the wheels and bolt star (16), although a compensating housing could be omitted if the planetary wheel and central wheels are supported axially on their shafts or bolts. The housing could also be in two parts comprising two rotationally symmetrical flanges and two diametrically opposite webs moulded on the flanges. The housing can be made from fibre-reinforced plastics, light metal or sheet metal. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplified mfr. of intermediate differential for four-wheel vehicle.
