A paste extruder for the production of hollow sections, e.g. plastic pipes or hoses, especially from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) essentially consists of a machine frame (1), an extrusion cylinder (2) to take a raw blank of plastic to be extruded, an extrusion piston (4) which can be introduced into the extrusion cylinder (2) and thus extrude the plastic, a mandrel pull rod (24) fitted in the extrusion piston (4) so as to be axially movable to position a mandrel (26) fitted at its end and an extrusion drive for the extrusion piston and a positioning drive for the mandrel pull rod (24). The extrusion and positioning drives are arranged in a shared housing (39) in which the extrusion drive surrounds the positioning drive after the manner of a capsule. |
