摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To enable controlling offset to zero at short setting time by controlling a calculated value by gage meter system of the height dimension of the cross section of rolled stock on the outlet side of each stand using an equation of state of rolling based on the optimum regulator theory. CONSTITUTION:In a rolling mill line of which at least two stands on the downstream side are constituted of three roll type rolling mills 3, 4, the continuous rolling of a steel bar and wire rod is executed. Using the equation of state that consists of the load and temp. of rolled stock and taking the number of revolution of roll and roll nip as manipulated variable, the calculated value by the gaugemeter method of the height dimension of the cross section of rolled stock on the outlet side of each stand that the tension of rolled stock and monitor compensation between respective stands in the object rolling mill line are taken into consideration is controlled by the feedback of control deviation and state vector based on the optimum regulator theory. In this way, the offset of the height and width on the outlet side of a finishing stand can be controlled to zero.</p>
