IC engine ignition control system - uses momentary engine load to read out corresponding ignition timing angle from temporary memory
摘要
The ignition control system uses a cyclic operating programme, which provides the required ignition timing angle in dependence on the detected engine operating parameters. A different ignition timing angle is provided for each engine loading range and is temporarily stored, the momentary engine loading being determined under control of the operating programme, to allow the corresponding stored value to be read out from the store. The engine load is detected from the position of the throttle plate and is compared with respective threshold values defining the idling, partial load and full load ranges. ADVANTAGE - Improved engine efficiency for reduced fuel consumption.
