The idling revs correction system allows a correction value to be superimposed on the required throttle position value, obtained via a learning process. The correction value is obtained by integrating the difference between the actual and required current for the throttle setting motor (4), when the latter is used to bring the throttle element against an idling stop. The correction value is stored when the difference between the actual and required current is below a given value. A current measuring element (3) lies in the current circuit of the motor (4), the difference value provided by a subtractor (15), coupled to an integrator (7). The integrator has a switch (11) at its output, controlled by a threshold stage (9), to supply the correction value to an adder (16) at the input of the throttle position regulator (2). ADVANTAGE - Provides precise correction of idling revs.
