The storage takes place on recognition of an incoming message, e.g. an audio sequence, possibly after prior digitalising, while a direct analogue storage is also possible. Messages, which have lost their actuality, can be overwritten. The user has a facility to read-out the memory contents by depressing a key, e.g. for acoustic rendering. USE/ADVANTAGE - For continuous information about traffic situation, with facility for availability of traffic messages for longer time period.
