The combination desk has a working surface for normal office functions and insert facilities for data processing, data storage and communications equipment. A desk insert (15) mounted on the desk enables the integrated installation of data processing equipment, e.g. computer keyboard, computer, display and printer, data storage equipment, e.g. disk drives and communications equipment, e.g. telephone, answering machine and dictation machine. The insert can contain three modules: a communications module (17), a computer module (19) with data storage equipment and a printer module (21) also contg. a printer paper cassette (23). USE/ADVANTAGE - Combination desk arrangement does not prevent normal use of desk when equipment is not being used yet enables convenient and functional use of computer and communications equipment.
