<p>PURPOSE:To provide the color filter which improves the strength of adhesion between color placing parts and a protective film without degrading the leveling property of the protective film. CONSTITUTION:A black matrix 12 is formed on a glass substrate 11 and the color placing parts 13 are formed by printing. The surface of the color placing parts 13 is roughened by polishing under <=10g/cm<2> unit area load and <=30 seconds time using a cerium-impregnated urethane pad formed by dissolving cerium oxide particles (CeO2) having 0.5 to 0.8mum average grain sizes into water (H2O). The substrate is subjected to a warm bath treatment for >=5 minutes at about 60 deg.C liquid temp. in a sodium hydroxide (NaOH) vessel of 5% concn. after polishing and is dried after washing with water for about one minute. The protective film 14 consisting of a coating material prepd. by subjecting a novolak epoxy resin to denaturation with 0.5 to 1% aminosilane is formed and an ITO(Indium Tin Oxide) electrode layer is formed on this protective film 14.</p> |
