A door furniture mounting device includes a pair of flat annular mounting disks (28), and means to mount the disks on either side of the door concentrically about an appropriately sized aperture in the door. A pair of escutcheon plates (16) is also provided. Each escutcheon plate is arranged to be mounted on one of the mounting disks. Each escutcheon plate is prevented from being inadvertently loosened from its mount on its respective mounting disk by first tongue means (60) extending from the mounting disk or the escutcheon plate and engaging on a surface of the escutcheon plate or the mounting disk respectively when the plate and disk are in a predetermined mounted relationship, to oppose relative loosening of the plate and disk from the aforesaid mounted relationship. |
