The process is for mfr. of a drum, having axial guide grooves in the jacket surface (3), and an internal bearing ring (11). The drum is esp. for a clutch or a brake. A drum-shaped body is drawn from a metal sheet. The base (4) of the drum is then reverse drawn into the drum interior, forming an internal drum. The base of the internal drum is cut out, and the guide grooves are pressed into the drum jacket. A tool is used, to form the cylindrical bearing ring.
