In order to configure ion an X-ray tube with a cooling device for cooling the anode (11;29) of the X-ray tube (10) and an incandescent cathode filament (12) fitted in an evacuated housing (13), in such a way that very effective cooling is obtained and higher powers are obtainable form the X-ray tube with a simpler design at the same time, it is proposed that the anode (11; 29) be thin in the electron impingement region preferably in that there is at least one recess (19; 30) on the side of the anode (11a) towards the cooling device (124). |
