<p>PURPOSE:To prevent production of uneven scale factor conversion even when a scale factor at copy dot is set to any value by randomizing a phase of a scanning line for each picture element of resampling. CONSTITUTION:In the case of reading a picture with resampling and outputting a picture for image forming through scale factor conversion, the phase of resampling for scale factor conversion with respect to sampling at read is randomized for each picture element. For example, the phase of resampling in figure B with respect to sampling of an original in figure A is subject to random timing as shown in marks O in the figure to eliminate the periodicity of the phase as shown in figure C. The resampling is implemented one each at random in a range T of picture elements in the case of without randomizing. As a result, the periodicity of the phase is eliminated. In this case, since the resampled uses a value between picture elements at both sides used for interpolation even when the phase is randomized, a dot profile is not almost changed.</p> |
