PURPOSE:To improve a set temperature keeping capability and to reduce a variation in temperature by a method wherein cooling substances having different melting points, respectively, are sealingly filled in storing chambers having cooling tanks formed an their wall surfaces and cooling tanks of at least two storing chambers. CONSTITUTION:A freezing chamber 110 is enclosed by a cooling tank 111 which is kept at -18 deg.C suitable for keeping frozen foods A chilled chamber 120 is enclosed by a cooling tank 121 and kept at 0 deg.C suitable for keeping chilled foods. Dampers 112 and 122 are operated such that cooling substance enclosed in each of the cooling tanks 111 and 121 is cooled, fully closed while the cooling substances being all in solid state and in turn fully opened while all of them being in liquid form. As the cooling substances, alpha-chlornaphthalene, 0-dichlorbenzene having their melting point of -18 deg.C or so are used for the frozen foods and water is used for the chilled foods. With such an arrangement, the cooling substances are cooled in such a degree as all volume may not be freezed, each of the storing chambers is kept at the same temperature as the melting point, wherein the temperature are kept uniform, so moisture generated from the foods can be prevented from being lost and a high humidity storing of the foods can be carried out. |
