<p>PURPOSE:To prevent uneven scale factor conversion from being caused even when a scale factor at copy dot is set to any value by randomizing phases of resampling for each scanning line. CONSTITUTION:In the case of sampling, reading a picture, scaling factor and outputting for image forming, phases for resampling for scale factor conversion are randomized with respect to the sampling at read. For example, as shown in figure, the periodicity of the phase is eliminated by changing the phase of each scanning line in a range of + or -pi. As a result, the synchronizing nature of the phase is eliminated. A random number is generated by using a known random number generator and a start point of time of each scanning is shifted by a random number. Moreover, since the resampled phase uses a value between picture elements at both sides used for interpolation even when the phase is randomized, a dot profile is not almost changed.</p> |
