PURPOSE:To provide a process for the cast-forming of an inorganic article in high efficiency without using a mold made of a particular material such as water-absorbing or water-permeable material. CONSTITUTION:In a cement compound composed of normal Portland cement, silica sand and necessary aggregate and light-weight aggregate, the total amount of the normal Portland cement is replaced with a cement-based solidifying agent, the obtained cement compound is cast-formed and the product is cured and hardened in an autoclave. The initial water content of the slurry for casting is increased taking advantage of the water-absorptivity of the cement-based solidifying agent to improve the filling of the slurry to the corners of the mold. The strength can be developed by the curing in autoclave. |
