<p>The ink cartridge can be used in a fountain pen comprising a pen body (10) able to be screwed onto a section block (12) which has an ink channel (14). Its length is greater than the length (14) of the interior housing (16) of the pen. The cartridge has a plug (3) made of a soft plastic so that its length can become equal to the length (14) when the pen body and the section block are screwed home. Its body (1) is of moulded manufacture and is closed at one end by a ball (2) located internally at a shorter distance than the length (15) of the ink channel (14), and at the other end by the plug (3) which comprises a cavity that opens towards the exterior and whose depth is greater than the length (15) of the ink channel (14).
