PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium without the substrate being released from a groove layer, capable of reducing the drying time of a primer and excellent in productivity by providing a primer layer having a specified composition between the glass substrate and the groove layer. CONSTITUTION:This magneto-optical recording medium 1 has a groove layer 13 formed on a substrate 11 and a recording film 14 formed thereon, and a protective sheet 16 is formed on the groove layer 14 through an adhesive layer 15. A primer layer 12 is formed between the substrate 11 and the groove layer 13 by applying a primer soln. contg. a silane coupling agent shown by formula I. The concn. of the silane coupling agent before application is controlled to 0.5-15wt.% or preferably to 1-5wt.%. This coupling agent exhibits strong adhesion after a short drying time. |
