The molten metal constituting the core is forced back under pressure into a mould by means of a positive displacement (proportioning) pump, the pressure of the forced-back metal is measured and the flow rate of the pump is adapted so that the increasing pressure imposed on the forced-back molten metal does not experience sudden variation throughout the cycle of filling of the mould.
<??>The method uses a measuring device 5 permitting recording of the pressure of the forced-back metal and uses a rapid-regulation loop 12 which controls the flow rate of a positive displacement (proportioning) pump 3 forcing the molten metal back into the cavity of a mould 1.
