DEFOAMING AGENT FOR DRINK AND DRINK USING THE SAME AGENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a defoaming agent containing a lipophilic emulsifier having low melting point and lipophilic emulsifier having high melting point and capable of preventing blowoff of drink in a pressure can by effectively acting on both of drink stored at low temperature and drink stored at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:The objective defoaming agent for drink containing (A) 25-75wt.% lipophilic emulsifier (e.g. source ester of unsaturated fatty acid) having >=30 deg.C melting point and (B) 25-75wt.% lipophilic emulsifier having >=50 deg.C melting point. A sucrose ester of saturated fatty acid such as sucrose palmitate having >=2 average degree of substitution is preferably used as the component B. When the above-mentioned defoaming agent is added to drink stock solution at <=30 deg.C, after the drink stock solution is emulsified by a hydrophilic emulsifier, then the deforming agent is preferably added to the emulsion.
