<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a raw material glass from fusion bonding to the molding surface of a mold. CONSTITUTION:At least, the molding surface of both the mold units is cooled immediately before supplying a raw material glass soften or molten by heating to a pair of mold units. The raw material glass is subsequently supplied between the mold units and then pressed by the molding surface of the mold units to mold the objective optical element. Since the temperature difference between the molding surface and the raw material glass is large due to cooling of the molding surface, fusion bonding between the molding surface and the raw material glass can be prevented in this pressing.</p> |
