PURPOSE:To efficiently read and erase radiograph information accumulated and stored in a stimulable phosphor sheet in a short time and to carry out the reading operation of the radiograph information with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A cassette holding part 11, a reading part 12, an erasing part 14, and a light shielding means 18 which prevents erasing light Lz from leaking with respect to the reading part 12 are provided. The reading part 12 is provided with a filter 45 which transmits stimulated luminescence Ly and prevents at least the light having wavelength equal to or above the wavelength of stimulating light Lx from being transmitted, and the erasing part 14 is provided with a filter 50 which transmits the erasing light Lz and prevents at least light having the wavelength equal to or under the light transmitting wavelength of the filter 45 of the reading part 12 from being transmitted.
