<p>The invention provides a method for purifying DNA from any source in any form. The method comprises the use of water soluble organic solvents when purifying DNA. By using water soluble organic solvents such as ethanol, propanol, and isopropanol, DNA is purified with greater recovery amounts. In addition, the use of water soluble organic solvents eliminates the use of caustic and poisonous compositions such as chaotropes.</p> |
