In an articulated reading light for vehicles, in particular aircraft, having a housing which has a first housing part (G1) to be fitted in the vehicle, has a second housing part (G2) which is articulated in the first housing part (G1), and has a third housing part (G3) which can be connected to the second housing part (G2) via a lock device (R) and has a light plate (L), and having a light source in the housing, so that the part of the housing having the light plate can be released from the other part of the housing after fitting of the light for the purpose of permanently adjusting the light cone of the reading light in a simple manner and without damaging the light plate and so that the former housing part can be permanently and reliably locked to the said other housing part after adjustment of the light cone, where the locking device (R) consists of locking elements which are arranged on the circumference and/or distributed over the circumference, the locking elements are constructed as a circumferential locking cam (N) or a circumferential locking groove and lever parts (H) which are arranged distributed over the circumference and have locking noses (S), the locking device (R) has a pre-assembly locking device, the pre-assembly locking device has lever parts (H) with pre-locking noses (VS) and/or a pre-locking cam (VN) or a pre-locking groove which are shorter in length and/or in height than the lever parts (H), the locking noses (S) and the locking cams or the locking groove of the locking device (R). <IMAGE> |
