<p>PURPOSE: To provide a device which generates a composite action generated with icons on a display device equipped with plural icons by providing a means which selects the composite action according to 1st and 2nd icons and a mark means. CONSTITUTION: A computer 10 is provided with the display device 20, a keyboard 50, and a mouse 30 which are connected through an adapter; and the mouse 30 has right, center, and left mouse buttons 40 and the display device 20 has various icons representing variable functions and objects which are usable on the system. Further, the device is equipped with a processor which interprets the signal of a cursor positioning device and positions a cursor symbol on the display device 20. Then an icon is positioned nearby another icon by using the cursor positioning device and then the composite actions based upon those icons is read in response to user input such as the releasing of a mouse button 40, etc. Further, an action which is read in with a special mouse button can be affected.</p> |
