摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent a wavelength conversion efficiency from decreasing out of a state in which a linearly polarizing direction of a solid-state laser oscillation beam is formed at a predetermined angle to a crystal optical axis in an optical wavelength converter for converting the beam to a second harmonic wave by a biaxial crystal having a nonlinearly optical effect. CONSTITUTION:An Nd:YVO4 rod 16 of a solid-state laser medium is formed in a wedge shape. The rod 16 is moved in a direction in which a length of an optical path of a laser beam 11 is altered by a precise screw 24 to adjust its linearly polarizing direction.
