PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the circuit and the software by providing each means which decide a picture output position through the change of a data read address in the case of magnification conversion, makes trimming by a border line and eliminates a picture of an undesired part on the subject device. CONSTITUTION:After an input picture from a line sensor 14 is corrected by a correction circuit 21, the picture is subject to magnification, reduction, picture element density conversion by a magnification conversion circuit 32 and the picture by a prescribed line number is stored tentatively a line memory 42. A picture processing circuit 34 decides a picture output position by revising a read address from the memory 42 while taking following items of the picture stored at a prescribed address of the memory 42 into account: The items to be taken into account are magnification of a picture, device difference, trimming position and delay stage number of each processing. A border line mask processing circuit 50 trims a read picture data of the circuit 34 to eliminate an undesired picture. Thus, the cost of the circuit and the software is reduced. |
